Sports
Sports are an integral part for the overall development of a student. Proper sports facilities for the students are available with dedicated sports officers; who ensure that sports are given topmost priority in extracurricular activities. Students regularly participate and represent the institute in various indoor as well as outdoor sports tournaments held in different parts of the country. Encouragement and training is given to each student in their respective interested sport by experts.
Sport pertains to any form of physical activity or game,[1] often competitive and organised, that aims to use, maintain, or improve physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participants and, in some cases, entertainment to spectators.[2] Sports can, through casual or organised participation, improve participants' physical health. Hundreds of sports exist, from those between single contestants, through to those with hundreds of simultaneous participants, either in teams or competing as individuals.
About NCC
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a voluntary organization that aims to develop character, discipline, leadership, and a spirit of service among young people in India. Established in 1948, the NCC is open to students from schools and colleges across the country. The organization offers various training programs, including basic military training, adventure activities, and community service projects. NCC cadets also participate in national events like the Republic Day parade, the Prime Minister's rally, and various inter-state camps and competitions. The NCC instills values of selflessness, courage, and patriotism in the youth of India and helps them become responsible citizens.
The NCC is divided into four wings - Army, Navy, Air Force, and Girls. Each wing has its own training program, and cadets can choose the wing they want to join based on their interests and career goals. The NCC also offers various scholarships, including the Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme, to encourage cadets to pursue higher education and career opportunities.
